The curriculum at EOAC International Schools is rich and integrated. The school operates a combination of the Nigerian and British curricula. Our teaching methods are designed to suit the vision and purpose of the school as well as the diverse learning styles and abilities of the students/learners. We prepare the students for National Examinations (WAEC, NECO and UTME) and International Examinations (IGCSE, SAT, TOEFL and IELTS). Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint Tests and Primary Checkpoint Tests.


At the Primary level, Lower Basic (1-3), more emphasis is placed on further developing pupils’ language, reading ability and numeracy skills, while in the Upper Basic (4-6), the curriculum is specifically broadened to ensure that learners have the opportunity to identify their own interest and strength. 

Pupils are introduced to a range of subjects such as: English Studies (Grammar, Comprehension, Composition and Phonics -Listening and Speaking), Mathematics, Basic Science and Technology (Basic Science, Basic Technology, Physical and Health Education and Information Technology),National Values (Social Studies, Civic Education and Security Education), Christian Religious Studies, Nigerian Languages (Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba or Edo), Cultural and Creative Arts, Prevocational Studies (Agricultural Science, Home Economics and Entrepreneurship), French, History, Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Calligraphy (Handwriting) and Vocational Aptitude.

The curriculum of the Junior Secondary School at EOACIS is both prevocational and academic. It includes all basic subjects which enable students to acquire further knowledge and basic skills. In line with the Federal Ministry of Education's directive, the subjects offered at the Junior Secondary have two components of ‘Core Subjects’ and ‘Elective Subjects’. The core subjects include English Studies, Mathematics, Basic Science and Technology (Physical and Health Education, Basic Science, Basic Technology and Computer Studies/ICT), Creative and Cultural Arts, Christian Religious Knowledge, Nigerian language, National Values (Social Studies, Civic Education and Security Education) and French Language. The elective subjects are Agricultural Science, Home Economics and Business Studies. Students are expected to offer one of these elective subjects.

At the Senior Secondary level, the curriculum has five compulsory subjects, namely, English Studies, General Mathematics, one trade/entrepreneurship subject (from a list of 37 subjects), Computer Studies/ICT and Civic Education. There are other four distinct fields of specialisation from which students are to offer three or four subjects. These are Science and Mathematics, Humanities, Business Studies and Technology. In addition to these, the curriculum also makes adequate provision for wide range of sporting activities and clubs.

·         Games and sports are regarded as co-curricular activities which help to keep the old and the young fit and active.

·         Students are kept lively when they combine academic work with recreational activities. It also enables them to demonstrate their skills and superior qualities during internal and external competitions


·         Clubs constitute an integral part of students' activities

·         Apart from complementing academic excellence they help to stimulate   students reasoning, initiative and sharpen community spirit.

·         Every student should belong to a club in a particular session.
